Dana Jewel Harris

Chief Executive Officer at NEXT Steps Small Business Incubator

I am a Project Management Professional and U.S. Army Logistics Specialists with 24 years of business development, management and C-Level executive administrative experience. I gained valuable skills in Project Management, Strategic Planning, Program Design, Community Outreach, Event Planning & Management, Fundraising, and Non-profit Administration through a solid career track in the real estate, entertainment, marketing & advertising construction, government, corporate and non-profit industries. I served in significant administrative roles that procured $7MM-$2.4B in revenue, sales and/or start-up capital, was part of the historic production team that put Atlanta on the music map by producing eight multi-platinum and gold recording projects ($8MM), and raised over $450,000 in donations, grants, cash, and inventory for my own non-profit venture. I gained extensive executive management and senior leadership experience through implementation of my award-winning Community Involvement Growth Strategy and community engagement model by managing risks, relationships and program-related investments (i.e., assets, property, and equipment valued over $100K) while meeting the expectations of donors, community partners and stakeholders.

I founded The NEXT Steps Youth Entrepreneur Program (nonprofit 501c3) and created my Digital Badge & Skillcoin Rewards System, “Money Guide for Young Entrepreneurs” activity workbook, and Community On Demand STEAM Education & Life Skills Development Game to bridge the communications gap between the business, STEAM education philanthropy and education communities. Over the next 10 years, I will provide 1,000 businesses with flexible, blended-learning employment solutions and access to a pipeline of 100,000 young innovators with employable, high-demand STEAM skills and meaningful workforce experiences.
